Running Man

Round 8 of 'TWO WEEKS WITH ARNOLD'. An adventure to watch, explore, and review 14 Schwarzenegger movies in 14 nights; and to document my feelings toward Arnold during the course of this clinical evaluation.

Why Arnold? Why 14? I'm not an Arnold freak, but I am a fan. My review on Terminator Salvation sparked an interest and curiosity regarding Arnold and a light bulb went off! "TWO WEEKS WITH ARNOLD!!" What an interesting story! Will I have troubles making it two weeks straight? Will I grow sick of Arnold? What will I learn? Time will tell.

Running Man (1987)

I'm shaky. This is becoming more difficult to schedule my day around Schwarzenegger movies and the reviews. I didn't finish all of Running Man last night, so had to finish it today and write this review, then I'll go watch Twins. I caught myself having a minor panic attack in Wal-Mart today, planning everything out. I care a great deal about not only the words of the review, but the layout, the flow, the size of the movie poster, which words to highlight green.... I love it.

2019 in a post nuclear world 'Running Man' is the most popular T.V. show on Earth. American Gladiator meets Price is Right meets Survior amped up to level "murder." Barbaric. Blood lust crowds scream and thrash about the stadium, demanding their nightly feast of sangria. Based a novel written by Stephen King.

Running Man is a total '80's movie; dirty film grain, bright contrasted colors, big ratted hair, Paula Abul dance moves. I kept flashing on Judge Dredd, Madd Maxx Beyond The Thunderdome, Big Trouble In Little China, and Mega Man.

Imagine Mega Man on a killing spree w/real bullets and real blood.
Simeon gives 5 stars, two thumbs up!
