Alright, let's just cut straight to the chase... I give Alice in Wonderland two thumbs down. ... *crowd gasps*.
I know that's a tough statement to hear, and believe me, it's a tough statement for me to make. I wanted to love this movie so much. Of course, it LOOKED amazing. The settings were fantastic and bold and bright and vivid. The characters looked killer, Johnny Depp is psychotic and on the verge of homocidal at times as the Mad Hatter.
Tim Burton rushed the storyline. He puts a twist on the classic children's tale and he shoves too much information into the movie with out giving proper time to expand on virtually any of it. I was being force fed sandwhich after sandwhich after sandwhich without time to swallow or digest. Fuck you Tim. You made me feel bloated and uncomfortable.
Alice in Wonderland is still a must see, and your opinion might be strikingly different than mine. Hayley loved it and so did my niece. It was rad that it was in 3D and it did LOOK thriller. Watch it and let me know what you think.
