Idea WF Competition

I'm competing in the Idea WF 2010 business competition, where participants submit to a panel of 6 judges their idea for a new business in Wichita Falls that will create at least 3 new jobs and bring in 50% or more of the business' total income from outside the three immediate counties. This a competition with a $30,000 first prize payout.

Interview I did with KFDX news last night:

Participants in the competition must first submit a one page executive summary (due Nov. 15th), from there 15 semi-finalists will be chosen to submit a full business plan, and from there 5 finalists will give a 15 minute oral presentation about their business to the panel of judges.

To say I'm excited about this is an understatement. Most of you know that my love for business and entrepreneurism is equally as strong as any other love in my life. This will be a great exercise forcing me to problem solve and critically analyze my future. This is a win-win situation. Congrats to the city of WF and the MSU small business department for hosting this competition for the 2nd year!
