My Childhood Mondays | Wk 2 - He-Man

I remember vividly watching He-Man cartoons as a young child living in our mobile home in California. We lived at the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas Mountain range, high atop a hill. 3 acres of open land for us boys to explore.

He-Man & the Masters of the Universe was the best, period. We'd sit indian style on the floor watching He-Man, Skeletor, Beast Man, Cringer, Castle Gray Skull. Loved it!! My older brother and I would write in EVERY WEEK for the weekly contest they announced at the end of each episode, we never won, but it was so exciting watching the winners names come across the screen, hoping ours might pop up.

When we would go visit our cousins we were so jealous because they had ALL the action figures, and the animals, and the castles!! I'm not for sure why, but we didn't have any of the toys; maybe they was too expensive. ...

I got my first debit card when I was probably 22, and the first thing I did was go online to ebay and buy a TON of He-Man action figures. It felt great to rekindle that childhood memory.
